I am looking for this horse and ANY information on his whereabouts - PLEASE SHARE. In 2015, I supported a nonprofit sanctuary in Virginia. there was an untitled - long-term holding Mustang under their care. This horse named "Scout" never had his adoption papers filled out. I was told by the sanctuary at the time that they could not submit paperwork because they were a sanctuary - I have no idea if this prevents adoption through the BLM or not; I state this as history only. I offered to fill out the paperwork and adopt this magnificent gelding so he would never go back to holding - I filled out the paperwork, and when he was tilted, I did the ethical thing and signed over ownership to this sanctuary as he "was" their horse, and I would never try to take someone's horse. I sponsored this horse at the cost of $100 per month during this time.
i have learned through public facebook posts, that this sanctuary's horses have been found in kill pens in TX, there were many horses under this sanctuary's care and they deserve and need to be located as well. If anyone sees him, please respond to this report, i will GLADLY take him and assume ownership and give him a forever home - no questions asked if he is found. i did what i did to prevent this horse from future uncertainty and now i have reason to believe he is at risk or worse may have shipped to slaughter.
