Description: Mare had choking incident a week prior. Very ill. Poor body condition from not eating. Was being treated by owner, a veterinarian. She escaped her paddock area and we searched in woods for 2 days until we finally got information she was sighted on the highway in opposite direction of our search. One woman came forward and said she had seen her but she never caught her and left her in an open field. Another woman was reportedly with the woman that came forward but no one knows who that person is. Police officer got no names and made no report. People have come to me saying they feel we aren't getting all the information and that someone has her and thinks they are "rescuing" her from a neglect situation.
