A reward of $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for stealing two horses in Southwest Ranches. The reward is being offered for Milagro (9-month filly) and Venus (2-year-old filly), and there is fear they could be butchered for the illegal black market horse meat trade.
Mariel Cascata, the owner of Milagro, is very sad because the horse belongs to her 11-year-old son, Matias. The horses were stolen from the World Class Equestrian Center at 5600 S.W. 178th Ave. The thieves broke through the fence and walked the horses to the road. Gamboa, the facility's owner, followed the tracks to the road but could not find anything after that." Gamboa said there are security and surveillance cameras on the property but no cameras n the area where the horses were stolen.
A Detective with Davie Police told CBS News Miami that they are actively working on this case and that anyone with information should call them or Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS (8477). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Milagro was stolen from the paddock with another pony, Venus. Milagro, born a bay, is turning greyish but is a brown/grey and has no chrome. She has a black tail and a very thick mane for being nine months old. She is VERY playful and kind. He named her milagro, meaning Miracle in Spanish. We need a miracle to bring her home. We are devastated at the disappearance of these two young horses: nine mo old filly and 3 yr old mare. The two horses were lost or stolen from the Rolling Oaks area of Southwest Ranches, FL. We only want their safe return at this point. Reward offered and no questions asked. Please share, pray, and keep your eyes and ears open. We are reporting the horses stolen. Too many points to this. If someone has them and returns them, no questions asked, no charges, we have cameras, and the city has cameras. So please return them. They are not Paso Finos. We will press charges if you do not return and you are caught. Davie Police Department, case #23-078224, 954.693-8200
