From Cherry's owner: I saw my horse last at 5:30 pm on the 27th. About 4:45 am on the 28th I went up to get her so that I could leave. I couldn’t find her anywhere on the ranch. I then called Stevens County Sheriff’s office to file a report. I returned to the bunkhouse to get my truck and trailer and drive into the ranch and see what happened. My truck just wasn’t driving right so I pulled into the neighbor''s driveway that I’m friends with and at that time noticed the two flat tires on the driver''s side of my trailer. We (my mom was with me) went to the neighbor’s house and asked for an air compressor. We tried to put air in the tire and then found the hole. Once I realized the tires had been slashed I called the sheriff''s department back and told them about the tires. They said they would send a deputy out. At about 8:30 am deputy Evans of the Spokane Sheriff’s department arrived and took my statement. In the time it took him to get there I also found that my transmission fluid had drained out on the ground and I looked under my truck and noticed the plug was missing. The sheriff tried to call the ranch owner and it went to voicemail so the deputy left a voicemail. He then left and said he would file the report with the prosecutor. Shortly after, I had my tires fixed and a friend of mine helped me with my transmission. I then drove to the ranch and couldn’t get in the gate so I walked in and was going to talk to the ranch owner, he’d been standing outside and went into the house and refused to come out. I returned to my truck and a client needed to get into the gate so the ranch owner came up on the side by side to let her in. I asked the ranch owner where my horse was and he replied with “you’re not welcome here” my mom then said “Just tell her where her horse is” and he replied with “we don’t have your horse here anymore. Ask your friends about her” he then drove away. I called the deputy again and told him the new info. Stevens county sheriff department. Case number 2014725
