Description: Missing: "Rocket," a Fort Polk Wild Pony Colt
"Rocket," an approximately 2-year-old wild pony colt from Fort Polk, is currently missing. Originally born a bay, his coat has been turning gray, and he is estimated to be around 13+ hands high.
He was pasture-boarded at a ranch located south of Eunice, Louisiana. The landowner has since been arrested on seven counts of livestock theft. Fourteen horses were identified as missing on June 6th, and it is believed they disappeared between May 5th and May 25th.
Of the missing animals:
Four were recovered from the Bastrop kill pen.
Two made it out of the slaughter pipeline into private homes.
Eight are still missing, including "Diesel."
