Cherub was free leased to a Morgan horse person in Pavillion, WY. I received a call from the brand inspector on 3/24/2014 advising that the Lessee was attempting to acquire a brand transfer. Lessee was selling Cherub and her 2014 unborn foal to a Morgan Horse Dealer in West Edmeston, NY. The brand inspector told me to get my horses with the assistance of a Deputy. On 3/30/2014, I met with the Sheriff in WY and when we arrived to the Lessee’s property in WY, we found that the Lessee and Cherub were gone. Lessee had left for Indiana 6 hours earlier. We found out later that the Lessee had acquired a Health Certificate to the Morgan Horse Dealer in West Edmeston, NY. We have been searching for Cherub ever since.
It is thought that Cherub may possibly be in the East from Indiana to New Hampshire.
