I found my baby...after 4 days I found her about 5 miles from my house....
This evening we were headed to an auction about 70 miles away and we were almost there when we received a call on my dad's cell phone (which is listed on the flyer) it is a man asking about the flyer wanting to know a little more about the horse...he says he thinks he saw her...two teenage boys brought her to a barn last week sometime.
He says he is going to get the flyer he saw at the gas station and match it up to her. We call the sheriff's office and tell him where the guy says she might be; they send two deputies (who happen to own a lot of horses themselves) over there.
It was the longest drive back to our house than I can ever remember I know I speeded a few times
We get to the place and as soon as we start down the drive I see 'HER' It was her.... I could never have mistaken her. I jump out of the car and identify her as mine...answered a lot of questions and had lots of mine answered.
The story is...last week 2 boys bring the horse in; no horse trailer was seen...she just sort of 'appeared' there...when asked how much they paid for the horse the answer was 'Nothing right now...don't know if we're going to keep her...just borrowing her for a little while’. They tried riding her...and believe me this horse is WELL BROKE...
I would trust even a child on her...according to the man who called us she gave them a H*LL of a ride...bucked them off and everything...she got calmed down in a couple of days according to the man (aka Jake). Jake says these boys are 16 and 17yrs old...haven't found them as of yet, nor the parents...
When we went to get her out of the lot she ran from everyone but me...she let me come up to her and rub all over her...took a little coaxing before she would let anyone bring me a halter. She officially does NOT like strangers now. Before this she would let ANYBODY catch her at anytime... she would run across a field to be with someone...
I want to thank EVERYONE for their thoughts, prayers, and their help...I could not have found her without the Netposse urging me on. She was found with one of the flyers Debi of Netposse made for me. I will continue to support your group in anyway possible.
