I sent the note below last night but I think I sent it to the wrong
address---I was soooo tired after getting her home.
Debi,
My neighbor's mother came home from a long drive tonight and swore that she knew where Passion was. My neighbor didn't believe her but she drove me over there--it was 4 miles from the house and I had been checking there twice a day for the last two days but there she was.
Those people have 2 horses and some cows so I knew they were a very strong possibility. She was happy to see me and we made the walk home at 11 at night down the dark and scary dirt roads. She seems to be fine, just dehydrated and hungry. She is my alpha mare and likes everything just so but now she has had water and hay, her stall is bedded nicely and she has been fawned over enough that she feels like the queen that she is.
I just thank God that she was not headed for a sale. Thank you so much for all your help. I am sending a donation and I would be interested in volunteering with your organization. This was a huge wake up call for us that there is a gap in the government system when it comes to recovering horses.
Have a wonderful weekend. I am so happy I don't think I will be able to go to sleep tonight!
