We finally have Tahoe home, She is not in the best shape and probably will only be able, if she is lucky, to be pasture ornament. She is anemic, loaded with worms, has been foundered, there has been a moderate rotation of the coffin bone almost thru her right front hoof. she has a big hay belly and now also has heaves. She is definitely not the beautiful champion winning show mare that was taken. But she is happy to be home and I have promised her to do all I can to fix her. Just wanted to let you know it is sort of a happy ending. She has also been branded with someone else's initials.
This is a pic from last week, she can't put weight on front feet and and her top line is awful and she struggles to breath.
