UPDATE (7/19/06): We are sad to report that Sonny is deceased … UPDATE (5/2/06): In April, the Schoffields were determined by a civil court to be the legal owners of Sonny & Shea. They were awarded custody of Sonny, but since Shea has not been found, they received a monetary judgment for her. The Schoffields still hold out hope that someone will at least let them know where Shea is. Ms. Schoffield writes: “Now all we want to do is find Shea just to know she is ok[ay]. We don't want to buy her back but would be really happy to know she was in a safe home. We are not going to try to remove the horse or pursue action against anyone that has purchased her or who currently has her since the case was already resolved.”

My heart is broken ...
Sonny somehow got out of her stall and consumed 25-50 lbs of grain ... sweet feed ... We had to rush her to the vet in Leesburg, VA ... she was so toxic her skin on her nose was purple!
I may have to let her go ... If she makes it, the vet has said it will be a long EXPENSIVE road unless I can find someone willing to help me out. IS there such a fund out there?
Please pray I make the right decision ... It really does break my heart after all we've been through together ...
