It is with a heavy heart that we report Nova's owner found her today deceased. This is not the ending we want even if it does bring closure. ~ Angela

Angela and Debi,
It is bittersweet to write this e-mail. It still doesn't feel quite real. My beautiful Nova was found this evening. She had already passed away when we found her, and it breaks my heart to know that I will never kiss her sweet face again, but at least knowing where she is and that she is safe will help me put this all to rest. She lay down by the creek and never got up again, but all signs point to her passing being quick and peaceful.
I cannot thank Netposse volunteers, friends, and the extended equine community enough for all of the kind words of support and encouragement over the past few days. Knowing that there are people out there who care and who will do everything they can to help has made a world of difference. I have no doubt that even if Nova had been stolen she would have been brought home again. My heart will never be the same, but I am secure in the knowledge that I was able to make her last year and a half a good one.
Please, hug your horses every day, it's never too cold or too wet or too hot to have one more minute with them.
Sincerely,
Carolyn
