Recovered EQUINE Blue Gene, Sonny

Bay & Palomino Mustang Geldings Missing in Santa Barbara County, Calif – April 15, 2007

 Blue Gene and Sonny have been found and recovered!

Blue Gene finally came home on his own after six weeks. Gene had lost a great deal of weight but is doing well. Sonny was not as lucky. His little body was found not far from their home in a creek. Lisa thinks the horses were on their way home.

One tip during the time that the horses were gone indicated that there was a truck and trailer on the road at the bottom of the driveway the day the two horses disappear. The road is a dead end road. This makes one wonder if the horses truly got out on their own or not. So often we have horses dropped back off in the area once the flyers go out to the public. Sometimes they even come back with new shoes and halters. No one will really know what happened in this case but at least we have closure for the owners who love them.
