Hi Debi,

We were so happy to have found My Jorga Peach. She was located on a neighboring property while being searched for on horseback. A rider's horse heard Jorga nicker and nickered back to her. She turned up just on the other side of her pasture. She had somehow injured herself. At first, it seemed mostly superficial. Jorga was immediately taken to the vet where sadly, after being thoroughly examined and x-rayed it was discovered that the injury had put her quality of life in question.

After the exam and consulting with the vet that was kind enough to open the doors for her on the Sunday of a holiday weekend, My Jorga Peach was humanely euthanized on May 24th, 2009.

The members of Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society (BEHS) feel her loss. Each and every equine in our care is special to us - especially to and including the foster homes that care for them.

A most sincere thank you to everyone that quickly stepped up to help us find and care for My Jorga Peach.
