Beauty Found Through Faith

Several years ago, Chris had to give up her first horse, but she soon lost track of where Beauty was. She couldn't rest until she knew that Beauty was safe. In March 2014, Chris listed Beauty on NetPosse.com as a "Searching for Horse" report. Though it took another year of not giving up and several possibilities that turned out to be a different horse, she finally found Beauty through an online ad. Still, Chris wasn't 100% sure from the pictures that this was her first horse. She was able to visit the new owner, who got Beauty through a rescue, and confirm this was her on July 5, 2014. We are thrilled that Chris has closure and that Beauty, aka Faith, has a wonderful home!

Kathy responded by email that she had just purchased a horse that matches Beauty’s description from a rescue barn.  She sent pictures but it was so hard to tell because of the winter coat.  We emailed a few times back and forth throughout the spring. A few weeks ago I emailed her for updated pictures.

The more I looked at those pics, the more my gut was saying it was Beauty.

We made arrangements to meet so I could see her horse in person.  My gut was saying YES but it was hard for my head to agree since wanted to find her so bad!  Made arrangements to take my husband to see her last Saturday morning.  Kathy brought her out to us and my husband didn’t say anything…I was going crazy.  Finally I had to ask and all he said was “It’s Beaut!!!!”  I cried.

Beauty (now Faith) lives with a  wonderful family and is able to hang with about 13 horse friends.  She is living the good life!!!!  Kathy has been a 4-h horse club leader for about 18 years, gives lessons, etc.  She bought Faith because she had a white horse that one of her 4-h girls just loved.  He passed away.  She bought Faith to replace him for this little girl.

It turns out Beauty/Faith is just over the mountain from where she started from with my high school friend Jaunette.  Kathy and I know a lot of the same people.  They live about an hour from me.  Kathy’s daughter lives in Milesburg where we used to live.  And….Kathy’s husband went to school with my husband!!  What a small world!! 

We told Kathy that we would like to buy Beauty/Faith if she ever decides to sell.  I think if that ever happens, we will get Beauty/Faith back J  As for now, I am very thankful she has a wonderful home now and seems happy where she is!!!!     THE END :-)
