It is with great sadness that we announce upcoming changes to our services. Our longtime website designer, Daniel, has decided to leave us after 14 years due to the increased workload. As our organization has grown, so have his time and skills demands. We understand his need to prioritize his family and well-being, and we are truly grateful for his invaluable contribution to bringing our website vision to life.
While Daniel's departure raises concerns about our future, particularly regarding expenses and IT support, we want to assure you that we are working closely with him to address these challenges and ensure a smooth transition. Our commitment to maintaining our website's high standards remains unwavering.
Moving forward, we must meet specific requirements to continue our operations.
Our current website comprises over 7,000 pages and utilizes a Windows Server, Classic ASP/IIS, Microsoft SQL Server (over 200 MB), and over 5 GB of storage. We host various files such as images, PDFs, and videos. The existing website also uses Persists ASP upload, ASP Jpeg, and ASP PDF components. These components would need to be available or have an option to install them.
In summary, our current site is equipped with numerous features tailored to ensure efficiency for our volunteer staff in providing services and tasks.
However, the future of our website depends COMPLETELY on the support we receive from the equine community. Replicating our existing website would be exceedingly expensive, and as an all-volunteer organization that relies on donations, sales, and report fees, we face significant financial challenges.
