Investigators say they've seen a rise in horse thefts over the past few months.
The sheriff's office says five horses have been stolen along a stretch of Highway 62. Homes in Maurice and Orange have been hit. Investigators believe there are more victims in that area.
Homeowners in both Orange and Maurice have fallen victim to horse theft, and property damage makes me sick to my stomach. Knowing that somebody's out here doing this right now. Families like the kilts are keeping a watchful eye on their livestock.
