Incident Date:

Location:
Newport (Cocke County), TN, 37821, USA
On April 2, 2017 I re-homed my 17 year old Thoroughbred gelding to ****** ********* under the impression that he would be a pasture pet with her barrel racing horse that needed a pet in the field with it while she was completing Vet School. I trusted her when she said that he would be well taken care of. She said all the right things. She is a vet student at Tuskegee University in Alabama and with the health issues that my horse has I felt she was the right person for me to rehome him to. For the first few weeks she responded to facebook messages with my daughter in reference to how he was doing saying that he was doing fine. When my daughter would request a picture of him ****** would not respond and then it got to the point where she blocked my daughter from all social media and phone contact. I have tried to contact her several times by phone, text and email and have not gotten any response. I have a signed Horse Sale Agreement with ****** ********* that if she were to sell or rehome him I would have the right of first refusal as well as where she agreed not to sell or cause my horse to be sent to auction or slaughter. I just want him back.
