Horses were spooked by bear at Templeton Meadows in the Golden Trout Wilderness the first week of August. and ran off. Sweet & Rose were both wearing halters and lead ropes when they ran off. They were tracked as far as Mulkey Meadows when a hail storm covered their tracks.

WE HAVE WONDERFUL NEWS!!!  UPDATE from Marla Jackson 9/16/17: Great news! The horses have been located and are now home! My brother located them but they were still spooky and he couldn't approach them without spooking them further; even with grain. He went back to camp and at 3 AM was awakened by something trying to get into his aluminum pack box. Those 3 horses decided grain sounded good to eat after all!
