Description: NetPosse.com Stolen Horse Alert - Autauga County, AL - Joses Buddy, a 10-yr -old AQHA Bay Gelding, is considered stolen as of May 15, 2014, after a family friend offered to help work with him on some trust issues, yet she then advertised him online for sale (and showed papers but didn't have a transfer) only 10 days later! The family who owns Buddy has his sire and grandsire, and he was bred and raised on their farm. They never intended for Buddy to be sold. The woman who took Buddy has told people that he was stolen by a man named Kelly after he took him from another friend's pasture. A witness stated she saw the woman bartering online with a buyer when Kelly said he wanted the horse. The woman allegedly then told the online buyer Buddy was sold, and accepted $300 cash from Kelly. After discovering Buddy was not for a novice rider, which is what Kelly is, he sent him to a local trainer. That trainer finally told Kelly it was best to sell him. NetPosse has been told that Buddy was sold at an auction supposedly about a month ago (Nov/Dec 2014), and we have reason to believe it was one in Mississippi. Buddy was abused by their trainer when he was a colt, which caused his issues. He will buck under saddle, but is much better on the ground, and one might not realize he has trust issues immediately. They want Buddy home safe, and they do not want someone hurt since his issues were not disclosed by the woman who sold him. After an initial investigation by NetPosse volunteers, it was discovered that this woman had told numerous lies regarding this horse, and has since May and continues to. She has sworn to the family she would never have given Buddy away or sold him, yet documentation proves that she is being dishonest. Those involved have not been forthcoming with information on Kelly so that we can find out when and where Buddy was sold. We have people on standby to contact the auctions once this info is received. Please help us bring Buddy home!
