MISSING EQUINE, – October Spotted TWH Filly – Tennessee

Brownsville (Haywood County), TN Saturday, November 19, 2016

A 2 month old October Spotted Tennessee Walker Black/White Filly was last seen on November 10, 2016 according to Samantha Melton. She co-owns the filly along with her father, Charles Humphrey.

Ms. Melton asked Stolen Horse International for assistance in locating the filly. On November 16, 2016, Ms. Melton reported that the October Spotted TWH Filly was missing from their property and they are concerned that the filly may have been taken. The filly was kept in a pasture with seven other horses including her Mom. The Humphrey’s have notified the Haywood County Sheriff Department of the missing filly.

Stolen Horse International, a nonprofit organization also known as NetPosse.com, is well known as the “lost and found’ place for horses on the internet for the equine industry. NetPosse.com offers horse theft and equine ID education and assist in search and recovery of stolen or missing horses, as well as other equine equipment.

“The filly was apparently removed from the property. We have done a complete search and no signs of the filly was found. No signs of a struggle.”, says Samantha Melton, daughter of Charles Humphrey. “Owners and neighbors have had thefts of equipment etc. in the last few months.” Ms. Melton went on to tell Stolen Horse International, that they have checked the property extensively. They have searched the 60-acre property and have seen no signs of animal attack, dragging etc.

On November 16, 2016, Stolen Horse International, Inc. received the first online report on its web site, www.NetPosse.com, filed by Melton and, in short order, began distributing the information via their NetPosse Alert (the horse community’s Amber Alert) on the Internet to hundreds of social media groups and private email contacts in an effort to rally the public to help the family.

You will find October Spotted TWH Filly’s webpage with information and a printable flyer in her NetPosse.com listing, which is where any updates or leads will be posted. People interested in helping can search for report number NR005096 or use this direct link on the NetPosse.com site: http://www.netposse.com/view_report.asp?reportid=5096

“Circulating the flyer for October Spotted TWH Filly and the NetPosse.com Alert nationwide is imperative, as she could be anywhere by now. These flyers are one tool that brings home many horses and must be posted in as many public places as possible,” says Debi Metcalfe, founder of Stolen Horse International. “And remember, not everyone has internet access. Please post October Spotted TWH Filly’s flyer in public places as well.”

Pictures, flyer, contact information, updates and other information are on the NetPosse webpage to identify this case quickly when calling in a tip. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Charles Humphrey, Haywood County Sheriff Department or Stolen Horse International with any information.
