02 November 2016

Pat Raia of TheHorse.com reported on November 1, 2016 that a Bossier Parish man has been accused of stealing at least three racehorses.

After a joint investigation by Bossier City Police, the Louisiana State Police, and the Louisiana Livestock Brand Commission, Jonas Gibson was arrested on Oct. 25 and charged with forgery in connection with Jockey Club registration papers and the theft and sale of a horse last April. It was during an investigation of an unrelated horse case that law enforcement learned that a horse was reported stolen in April from Harrah's Louisiana Downs Casino and Racetrack which is located in Bossier City.
