MISSING EQUINE, – Evangelio Del Dosque aka Helio – North Carolina
Horse Shoe (Henderson County), NC Friday, October 30, 2016
On Friday October 28, 2016 Helio was seen outside of his fenced pasture around 1:30am by a neighbor. Helio is a 24 year old White/Grey PasoFino Gelding.
Bobby Case asked Stolen Horse International for assistance in locating Helio. Mr. Case reported that they were able to follow his hoof tracks a little way down the road and then they disappeared. Mr. Case has notified the Henderson County Sheriff Department of the missing horse.
Stolen Horse International, a nonprofit organization also known as NetPosse.com, is well known as the “lost and found’ place for horses on the internet for the equine industry. NetPosse.com offers horse theft and equine ID education and assist in search and recovery of stolen or missing horses, as well as other equine equipment.
“Helio is my buddy.”, says Bobby Case. “I’ve owner him since 2002. He was mistreated by someone in the past and it took a while for Helio to trust again.” Mr. Case went on to tell Stolen Horse International, that Helio is very attached to him and is always “in my pocket” when I am with him. He explained that their other horse is extremely upset over Helio’s disappearance and is grieving over Helio. Mr. Case reports there are no signs of Helio getting out on his own, fence is not broken and no signs of him jumping the fence.
On October 30, 2016, Stolen Horse International, Inc. received the first online report on its web site, www.NetPosse.com, filed by Case and, in short order, began distributing the information via their NetPosse Alert (the horse community’s Amber Alert) on the Internet to hundreds of social media groups and private email contacts in an effort to rally the public to help the family.
You will find Helio’s webpage with information and a printable flyer in his NetPosse.com listing, which is where any updates or leads will be posted. People interested in helping can search for report number NR005088 or use this direct link on the NetPosse.com site: http://www.netposse.com/view_report.asp?reportid=5088
“Circulating Helio’s flyer and the NetPosse.com Alert nationwide is imperative, as he could be anywhere by now. These flyers are one tool that brings home many horses and must be posted in as many public places as possible,” says Debi Metcalfe, founder of Stolen Horse International. “And remember, not everyone has internet access. Please post Helio’s flyer in public places as well.”
Pictures, flyer, contact information, updates and other information are on the NetPosse webpage to identify this case quickly when calling in a tip. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Bobby Case or Stolen Horse International with any information.
