On Saturday, September 7, a beautiful, 17-year-old, Bay Arabian Gelding named Marcuz was stolen from his pen in Amador County, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. He was last seen in Ione. The other pony-jumper was left in its pen. It is believed that Marcuz was walked away from his pen, as there were no tire marks indicating a truck or trailer, and hoof-prints showed signs of a struggle. The alleged thieves are suspected of targeting Marcuz specifically, as they had to travel through three gates and down a gravel road to find the horse at the back of a 40-acre property. It is being investigated by the Amador County Sheriff’s office as a theft.

Identifying marking on Marcuz includes a white stripe on his face, a white stocking on his left front leg and white socks on his right front and right rear legs. He also has a scar on his right rear shin. For complete details of the case, visit netposse.com and enter report number #005043.

If you have any information concerning this theft, contact the Amador County Sheriff’s office, at (209) 223-6500.

You can also help bring Marcuz home by spreading the information about his disappearance. Share it on Facebook and be sure to tell your friends. We can all help find him together.
