Jailed Watertown man charged in theft of horse bridle

Mark D. Eastman, 43, an inmate of the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, was charged Wednesday by city police with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Mr. Eastman, of 126 N. Orchard St., Apt. 2, is accused of possessing, on Jan. 24 on Coffeen Street, a horse bridle stolen earlier that day from a vehicle belonging to Michelle R. Heasley, 18951 Fields Road, Watertown.

He was arrested the same day in connection with a burglary at Gold Star Deli, 343 Arsenal St., and is jailed on $30,000 bail.
