Stirrup on saddle

On Saturday, March 10, 2012, Ron Kinder reported to the Johnson County, KS. Sheriff’s Office of the theft of two saddles. Below is a description and pictures (provided by owner) of the most expensive saddle. The saddles were stolen from a

horse trailer, possibly while enroute from Hillsdale Lake in Miami Co. Kansas to Edgerton, KS in Johnson County, KS.

This is a picture of a saddle very similar to my stolen saddle. Differences are listed below:

-my saddle has “brown” leather fender flaps above the stirrups. The one pictured has “no fender flaps”.… just the nylon straps.

-my saddle has long black leather saddle strings attached to each of the D rings around the seat…the one pictured has no saddle strings.

-my saddle has a black leather, over the neck breast strap attached to it.

-my saddle is black with the brown accents but does “not” have the little round, brown, leather piping outlining the pommel & cantle. But does “ have” the brown cantle Cheyenne roll around the back of seat and has the brown leather concho with carrier on the front of each side.

-my saddle has aluminum, scroll engraved barrel stirrups.

The second stolen saddle was an American Saddlery Roping Saddle, all black with the rig on the horn and a strap to hold a rope.

IF ANYONE THINKS THEY HAVE SEEN THESE SADDLES, PLEASE CONTACT DETECTIVE BRETT WILSON OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY, KS SHERIFF’S OFFICE AT 913-715-5588
