Fort Worth, TX AmerEquine is the new foal in the paddock of horse-related events for 2012, and it comes with an entirely original concept for promoting and enlarging the client base for horse-related activities and businesses. AmerEquine will combine what has come to be intuitively described as “equine-educational” with top-tier concerts, equine experts, and other entertainments–all at one expo. The venue for AmerEquine’s first Festival of the Horse will be the historic Will Rogers Memorial Center in Ft. Worth, TX; and the dates will be June 1–3, 2012. Plan ahead and don’t miss it.

In addition to showcasing high-profile clinicians and Olympic riders, AmerEquine will present concerts by horse-friendly, popular entertainers at affordable prices in the same complex and concurrently with clinics, seminars, and commercial exhibits that best represent all things of, by, and for horses and those who get to be in their lives. Will Rogers Memorial Center features three arenas, several seminar facilities, and a large concert room. All of these will be running throughout the day right along with the equine-related trade show.  The best part is that anyone who buys a concert ticket will get into the clinics, seminars, and trade show for free. However, the trade show will be ticketed separately (and very reasonably) for those who are only interested in the educational and commercial aspects of the event.

The educational line-up of AmerEquine’s Festival of the Horse will have the best in the world. We are pleased to have Debi Metcalfe of Stolen Horse International / NetPosse as a part of the event. SHI / NP not only provide valuable information and assistance in recovering lost, stolen, or missing horses, but also educate public on equine theft and loss prevention. With the assistance of the internet, NetPosse can round up a modern day version of a posse within minutes of a filed report. An alert and call to action goes out to a network of volunteers who are devoted to returning your lost equine or property.

The educational roster includes Craig Cameron who will be presenting his patented Extreme Cowboy Race and other clinics as well. Tim McQuay and Tom McCutcheon, two of Texas’s best, (2010 U.S. Gold Team members at the World Equestrian Games) will be on hand for both clinics and demonstrations. Sylvia Zerbini, the former star of Cavalia, who has generated gasps of wonder all over the country, will be performing in person with her “star” horses as well. The great Becky Hart will be in the house; so will Aaron Ralston and champion trick roper, Doug Smith–and more to be announced. Come for the entertainment and stay for the horses, or vice-versa; either way you win.

Likewise, those appearing in concert will be Emmylou Harris, America’s Sweetheart of the Rodeo; Riders In The Sky, “America’s Favorite Cowboys”; and Don Edwards, “America’s Favorite Cowboy Balladeer.” And especially well-represented is the traditionally horse-culture-based music of bluegrass and old-time tunes by three groups who all have champion horse competitors in them:  Jimmie Dale Gilmore & the Wronglers, featuring distance racing sponsor and rider, Warren Hellman; Heidi Clare & AtaGallop, featuring World Champion Ride ‘n’ Tie rider/runner, Heidi Clare; and Dry Branch Fire Squad, featuring multiple champion competitor and trainer, Ron Thomason. All these premier performers have literally kept horses in the very fabric of their songs. And many more will be booked by the time of the event.
