I was asked to try and explain what this colt means to my son. He is a 8-year-old little boy. He has tried to see good in everyone and everything. He has leukemia and a Brain tumor. Now they have found three more tumor's in his stomach. Also the cancer has hit his Kidneys. He waited and waited for Sampson to be born. He told us when he would be born and that he was a boy. Also that he would grow up to "be the Biggest and Bestest Horse in the world."
He has loved this colt since before he was born. My son was fighting to live and was doing great. He has to stay mentally focused and mentally fighting to beat this. Then this happened. He has now said he wants to die because there are too many bad people in the world. His progress had gone backwards greatly sense his horse was stolen. He doesn't like it here anymore. He wants to go to God's house and live.
Anytime someone goes thru the loss of a horse or any animal it is tragic. But to do this to a child let alone a sick child is beyond belief.
We have to recover Sampson for my son. I am very afraid that if we don't I could also lose my son.
