how missing: I verbally leased Melody to a man I had known for 6 years. He had
her stabled at a stable in Hope Mills NC.
Evidently he stopped paying board for her in Jan. I was
unaware of this and the barn owner never called me to tell
me. (Dena boarded with him and thought he would let know) Nor did the man who was leasing her. The barn owner told me that he called the man who leased Melody up until
the middle of March with no results. So in May a woman
got the horse from the man for $100.00, then
moved her to a little barn near the Raeford airport. I
called the woman and she said that she couldn't afford to
keep the horse and gave her away to a good family in
Wilmington and that I should be glad she didn't go to the
auction which is where she was headed. She wouldn't give me
any information on the people she gave Melody to, no phone
number, name, address, anything.
