Stolen Horse International Seeks Auction Donations to Help Victims

“This is not just a horse; it’s not money; it’s my heart,”' say one missing horse victim.

Stolen Horse International, aka NetPosse.com, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization needs help.  Currently, we are seeking donations for our upcoming online auction that benefits this organization’s efforts to help offer educational programs and recover stolen and missing horses.

Like many nonprofit organizations, we are fighting for every donation we can get during these tough economic times. As the only organization dedicated to the plight of missing horse and equipment victims, our services are invaluable, and we truly care about those we are helping.

Most of the horse owners in the United States never think “it” could happen to them. No matter how a horse is missing, Stolen Horse International, aka NetPosse.com, is here to help.  And, like many victims across the nation, Sara, Wayne, and Michelle turned to Stolen Horse International, aka NetPosse.com for help. All of their horses are home with our assistance!

"Sunday night (barely 24 hours after submitting the report to NetPosse) I received a call from a barn owner who was very concerned that the horse that had just arrived into his barn that afternoon was Freeburn. The tools provided by NetPosse enabled a very positive outcome to what very easily could have become our worst nightmare. Freeburn's evolving success story has now become a NetPosse success story as well." - Sara, Friends of Ferdinand

In Miami-Dade County in July 2012, two ponies from a church camp were recovered in less than 36 hours thanks to our press release program and news media coverage. - Wayne

In August 2012 Opie, stolen from Texas in 2003 was recovered because of his listing on NetPosse.com. Watch this touching story on video and feel the good work we do on Opie's webpage. http://www.netposse.com/view_report.asp?reportid=1687

Time and again, NetPosse’s services and the personal understanding our volunteers have for victims is taken to heart by those we help.

“Thanks again for your words of encouragement. They really have helped in my healing. You are a great and inspirational person.” – Yvette, Charger’s owner

“It is good to know that there agencies like Stolen Horse International, Inc. are out there to help horse owners in locating their lost/stolen horses.” – Juan, Brave Sugar’s owner

“Thanks to NetPosse for their wonderful flyers. I had a flyer in my hand showing it to a gentlemen when another gentlemen observed it from a distance. The gentlemen walked over and asked if he could see the flyer and then he said I know who has your horses. The rest is history.” – Frank, Karat and Dan’s owner

In order to continue the work we do, NetPosse is seeking help from its supporters and the horse community. We need your assistance as this is our biggest fundraiser of the year! The sad truth is that without funds we will not be here to help victims or provide our educational programs.

We need items to auction! We are asking all of the people who are reading this to find it in their hearts to donate. This being our largest fundraiser, it sets the pace for the work that we do for the year 2013.  Many of you have products or can offer services to the very people who NetPosse comes into contact with on a daily basis, or things lying around that you don't need – All of which can be valuable in our auction.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to introduce your business to a new audience. Last year we raised over $6,500, sent out over 15,000 email notices through our newsletter and Internet networks and the auction was viewed by thousands!

WHAT TO DONATE – We need all kinds of equine-related gifts, artwork, leatherwork photographs, horse products, (we really need a saddle) books and DVDs. Our wish is great but a few examples follow: VACATION HOMES: with our without horse facilities. TRAINERS: clothing, DVD's, tack/equipment, clinic tickets or participation slots. ARTIST: Paintings, sculptures, pottery. JEWELERS: Any type of jewelry,.MISC: Any type of tack or equipment. We will take just about anything!

WHEN IS THE AUCTION – Already we have been getting emails from past bidders asking when our auction will begin. Our first auction items will go up on the auction block in November. The auction is held online using eBay's nonprofit Misson Fish program.
