OU student fears prized show horse may have been stolen

11 August 2017

A University of Oklahoma student is heartbroken because her prized show horse has been missing for more than a week.

Alison Gann fears 15-year-old Dreamer may have been stolen.

“Never had a connecting with a horse like I had with him," Gann said.

Alison Gann just returned to the OU campus from summer break when she got the heartbreaking news that her horse, Dreamer, had disappeared.

“It’s been a week now. I've cried four, five times a day thinking about it," Gann said.

The show horse traveled with Gann from Fort Worth to OU two years ago, staying at the stables near 72nd Northeast in Norman, until Aug. 1 when he seemingly vanished during a storm.

“I would like to believe that he wasn't taken and he wandered off and nothing bad happen to him," Gann said.

Gann said Dreamer has competed in national and world competitions and is worth more than $50,000.

“He's chestnut brown, white star that leads into hind feet white. Hard to miss," Gann said.

A report was filed with the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.
