How many times have you expressed the feeling “Oh, gee, that is so nice-I’m glad they got their horses back’-and maybe posted an emoji or sticker, but that was it? Umm, hmmm, I’m seeing some guilty faces out there. You know who you are.
Oh, I know the ‘excuses’ -er, reasons. I used to use them, too. I’m too busy with _____ (work, family, my own horses, church….). You know something? The fact is-we will MAKE THE TIME for anything we really want to do. Christmas is a good example. So is Thanksgiving. Most of us celebrate those holidays or something similar to them. We enjoy the festivities and gatherings. We still have the same responsibilities. WE MAKE THE TIME. Why? Because it matters enough to us. Ahhhhh, there’s the problem.
I’m asking you-does helping other people who have had their horses, dogs, livestock, trucks, trailers, or other farm equipment violated by criminal activity get your dander up enough for you to want to DO SOMETHING TO HELP OUT?? What we do is essential to somebody-those horses pictured above were recovered and brought home after the hard work of people who have never seen them-and never will. Yet families were made whole again after being ripped open.
Volunteers are needed to help make this happen. It doesn’t have to be more than 2 hours a week. We need people who know Facebook well, can follow directions and learn what we need, are committed to what we do, are willing to work with a lot of women, and, hopefully, know something about horses (but we can teach that). All applicants will be screened. You MUST apply through this link Volunteer application We do not accept applications any other way. Any applications submitted through other means are returned with a request to come through this link without exception.
What kind of jobs?
Some things are pretty constant-others are just here today and gone tomorrow. We never know. It stays interesting! Let us know if you are interested!
