The Grinch Visited Our Office!

We were visited by probably the most UNWELCOME visitor we have ever had-a computer virus that managed to get past our security and almost contaminated our entire network at our home office in Shelby, NC. It took out two heavily used Personal Computers (PCs), and 1 external hard drives used for backup (2 TB each). Each one was nearly at capacity when it hit and we have been trying to find funding to replace and expand.

To make matter worse our laptop litterall fell apart in our founders hands when she was working out of town this week. The hinge broke and the screen split away from the main frame of the computer when she was opening up the computer. The screen also cracked.

YIKES!!!

So now we are trying to just "survive" any way we can while rebuilding our lost data from other backups and outside sources. We lost data, photos, videos, etc. that we may not be able to replace. We need our faithful supporters and friends to step up for us with either the funds and/or the hardware that we need right now. This is a real disaster for a business.

If you wish to make the 'in-kind' donation (which is tax deductible just like money), here's what we need:

  • Donations to pay for our new desktop computer. Cost: $1200
  • external storage - minimum of 2T each
  • Laptop with gaming capacity for the graphics and video cards. Minimum of 256G RAM, with 1T storage. HD uSB ports, card readers, DVD burner, dual hard drives. WIN10, webcam, wi-fi.
  • Photoshop program
  • and just in case someone is feeling really generous-we really need a video workstation to put together longer and more complex video for our presentations. To do that, we need a CPU capable of running the specialized software and a minimum of four screens at the same time. Estimated price tag for this is ~$10K.

Help us tell the Grinch that he can't stop our work. Help us get back on our feet again and back to work. All gifts will be tax deductible.
