After graduation he started his career in the insurance industry. He was a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and a Chartered Financial Planning Consultant (ChFC). Lynn was passionate about his family and friends, his profession and clients, beach music, and his beloved ECU Pirate's football.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two children, Brandon Bailey and Justin Bailey, both of Wilmington; sister, Debi Bailey Metcalfe and husband Harold of Shelby; nephew, Casey Metcalfe; niece, Cory Rozsak (Jeremy) ; brother-in-law, Artie Gandy; and nephew, Jarod Gandy, plus numerous cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park, 4039 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215, on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.

Prior to the service on Saturday, the family invites you to visit with them from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. at 2937 Long Pine Road Burlington, NC, 27215 as we celebrate Lynn's love of shagging and beach music. Mike Worley from Edge Entertainment in Carolina Beach will provide the music that so defined Lynn's life.

This is a very casual event, along with the Graveside service, so no need for suits and ties.

Memorials may be made to East Carolina Educational Foundation Inc., Ward Sports Medicine Building, Suite 304, Greenville, NC 27858, in memory of him at Debi's charity, or the charity of one's choice.

Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington is assisting the family.
