Tue., Feb. 7, 2012 - It's been a week since two therapy horses were stolen from a Christian church camp in southwest Dallas, and officials at Camp El Har say they're no closer to recovering them.
"The loss to the camp is still fresh, and finding them is like finding a needle in a haystack, and that haystack keeps moving," said Debi Metcalfe, founder and president of Stolen Horses International.
Zip and Blaze, two quarter horse mares, were taken late on the night of Jan. 30. They were discovered missing the next morning when Tiffany Gardner, owner and equestrian director at the camp, saw their fence sliced open.
"I knew the moment I saw the cut fence line that they had been taken and can't help but think where they could be now," she said.
