July 5, 2021 - Sunday the Panola County Sheriff’s Office reported on
Facebook says, "The miniature horse that was taken from the Pope area has been located and returned to the owner. Thank you for all of your assistance in this incident."
Caroline Shepperd received a post from the man's brother that said, "Call me. I have information on the stolen horse." This man and Caroline's husband went to the property where Magnolia was in a make-shift stall with another horse at the man's house.
It is clear that the person who took Magnolia picked the wrong horse to take. Both Shepherds were high-ranking police officers in Baltimore, now retired.
July 3, 2021 - PANOLA COUNTY, Miss - Panola County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported that a miniature horse named Sheppard’s L’l Magnolia went missing on June 30 and are seeking information about the missing mini.
According to a Facebook post by the PCSO, the horse was stolen from someone's property in Pope, Mississippi. The owner,
Caroline Clapp Sheppard, is asking the community for help in finding his horse.
On July 1, 2021, Sheppard says on her Facebook post, "Pope, Ms., please keep your way out for our Miniature horse that was stolen from our property last night! Police have been notified. We just want her back !!
