Searching for Horse Report Form ...
FORMS WORK IN INTERNET EXPLORER - may not work in other browsers
We are working to fix this and apologize for any inconvenience.
This form is to be used for the following reasons:
- A horse was legally sold or given away and you would like to either know it is safe or try to buy it back. The horse could have belonged to you, a family member, a riding stable, whichever - you didn't have to be the horse's legal owner.
- You loaned, gave or leased a horse to someone, but you have no documentation to prove this or you simply do not wish to pursue it as Missing. In other words, you only want to know the horse has a good home or maybe offer to buy the horse back - if you have a sales agreement or broken lease and wish to locate and reclaim a horse, please file a Missing Report
- You have legally purchased a horse at auction, online or through some other means, but wish to find a previous owner or the horse's history. This could be done to obtain registration papers, ID a brand or tattoo, or simply learn more about the horse's health, age, etc.
If you have FOUND a horse in your pasture or running estray, you may file a "Missing Owner" report at no charge
It is the responsibility of the person submitting the form to be sure all information is correct and complete. SHI is not responsible for incorrect or incomplete information. SHI is not responsible for contacting submitter and requesting additional information not in form or additional info not received.
Pictures and additional information should be sent within 24 hours to
netposse@aol.com and
reports@netposse.com. You may also email this address if you have questions PRIOR to submitting form.
Due to the number of reports now being received by NetPosse along with the rising costs of administration, there is now a fee required for the services provided. We regret that this has become necessary, but have designed two options and services. Because SHI is a nonprofit, any donations made that are above the value of services rendered may be tax-deductible (consult your tax accountant or attorney with any questions). Please let us know in the Other Notes section if you require a receipt.

Read Terms and Conditions before filling out form.
If this is a civil matter please file a report on the Missing Horse Report Form. Missing horses are those that have disappeared through bad lease or sales agreements, or have vanished from a trail or pasture, but are not classified as stolen. Any horse that you have legally sold will be classified as searching, and you will be required to submit this form in order for the horse to be listed on this site.
